Day 1 - Toronto to Port Hope.

What an awesome day! Leaving Toronto two by two was slow, but the sea of red jerseys was amazing. Energy levels were high and it was impossible not to be excited with people cheering us along. Breaks are amazing, with mars bars, snickers, smarties, energy bars and more. Arriving at camp was a great feeling. We narrowly avoided the rain and got our tent set up. Time now to get a shower!

Day 2 - Port Hope to Adolphustown

I slept well last night (no surprise), and we woke up to a beautiful (yet slightly chilly) morning. Breakfast televeision was on site to film a few clips and see us off. It was a great day for riding. Kevin and I averaged 28.5 km/h by lunch (85 km into the day) and treated ourselves to massages. We're at camp quite early, around 3:30, with plenty of riders yet to arrive. Time to relax before tonight's "Aloha Bingo".

Day 3 - Adolphustown to Kingston

The ride to Kingston promised a nice tail-wind and clear skies. With excellent time, we made it to about 4 km before break when I ran over something and got a flat. On changing the tube, it blew again. After the second tube blew, road safety pulled me to break. One more tube later we discovered the tear in my tire that was the source of all the trouble. Mike from Cycle Therapy provided me with a spare tire and I was off again. Arriving in Kingston was a thrill. Tonight: Chez Piggy's and the "Out In Kingston" half-way party.

Day 4 - Kingston to Johnstown

Breakfast was really good today, maybe not as exciting as everyone had said, but it was hot, with scrabled eggs, bacon, potatoes and other fun stuff. The ride to lunch took us along a bike trail which was pretty bumpy. By lunch my knee was in rough shape. Some rub from the massage therapists helped while we served lunch. We pushed it the rest of the way into camp for a pretty good day overall

Day 5 - Johnstown to Lancaster

We awoke to rain this morning, but it ended in time for breakfast. It started again heavy before stretching. We hit the road with a strong tailwind and by lunch it was sunny. Most of the day was spent on bike trails which w3as nice. Thanks to tthe tailwinds e made it into camp early and had a nice nap. Tonight is a bonfire with a chance to speak about our adventures and share stories about why we're here.

Day 6 - Lancaster to Montreal

Packing up camp for the last time made me realize how close Montreal was, and I couldn't help but reflect on how far we've come. We managed to find most of our group so we could ride together. It was a leisurely ride to the rendezvous, after which we rode the final 14 km single file, the line of riders extended as far as you could see. When we got to Parc Viger, our final arrival ceremonies began and we could celebrate! Toronto to Montreal in 6 days - what an adventure!
