I feel a bit bad for not actually having been outside on Allen today, given the wonderful weather, but by the time I got home it was already rather late. Instead of taking him outside, I opened the window in the spare bedroom and got to biking there. Allen, for anyone wondering, is my road bike. He's a 2006 Specialized Allez Sport Double in the white / red colour option:
I picked him up last year after a number of test-rides, and he took me all the way to Montreal for last year's Rally.
I've got him set up on a Blackburn Trak Stand Fluid Trainer in the spare bedroom; I'm not much of a winter rider, so the indoor trackstand works great for me!
Anyway, riding for a while with a nice breeze running through the room made me realize that it's not too long now before the training rides start up. With the 34km route starting us out on April 14th, it will be no time before we're out on the open road enjoying some of the great routes. Check back here to see how those rides go!
