Day 3 - Kingston

We made it to Kingston in good time again this year, though a little slower than last year, without as good of a tailwind to help us along. Kevin and I were prepared with laundry cards ready as soon as we had access to our totes, so we had laundry out of the way quickly. We're also in nicer residences @ Queen's this year - there's AC in the rooms and one bathroom per two rooms! It's a nice change from camping.

After tidying up and eating, we wandered downtown for a bit then came back to rest a while before dinner. Once again there's a halfway party for us tonight, but we're up early and back on for another long ride in the morning. Two more nights of camping then we'll be in Montreal!

Day 2 - Adolphustown

We made it to Adolphustown in good time today, averaging over 25 km/h. It was a hot day but a pretty good ride overall. Breakfast television saw us off again in the morning which probably contributed to all the roadside supporters we had cheering us along. Lunch was great and now at camp a new Tent city is springing to life. Tonight is Bingo night, then it's off to Kingston in the morning. It'll be a fast ride and we'll have the afternoon off to recover.

Day 1 - Port Hope

I guess I'd sort of forgotten the excitement of leaving Toronto on day 1. It was wonderful to have had friends show up for the departure ceremonies, and of course to have Paul there to see me off.

The day gave us good weather and a decent ride into Port Hope. Kevin and I got here feeling pretty tired, but now after showering and eating, we're sitting in a sattelite of "Tent City" soaking up some great down time.

Breakfast Television will be here tomorrow morning to see us off on the longest day of our journey. It's odd, I'm almost sad to see the first day done already, but at the same time I'm looking forward to Friday's arrival in Montreal. It should be a great week getting there.

Last sleep

Today was packing day, which means the trucks are all loaded and we just have to get down to the departure ceremonies in the morning... I'm super excited, I hope I can sleep well.
