One month to go...

It's just turned June 29th. One month from now, Kevin and I will have completed packing day - all of our gear will be in rubbermaid totes loaded onto the support vehicles and we'll be left just with the gear we need for the first day. Our bikes should be tuned and ready, and we'll be getting set for the ride from Toronto to Montreal once again.

I'm already getting excited about departure day, but before we get to that point, both Kevin and I do need to raise some more funds. We've both crossed the $1,000 mark for fundraising, and we're very grateful for the generous donations we've received. The Toronto People With Aids Foundation counts on these donations to be able to continue providing support for men, women and children living with HIV / AIDS in the GTA. Without the donations gathered through the Bike Rally, the PWA would not be able to continue to offer these services.

For those who have already donated, a very sincere thanks for your contributions. For those who are still considering, don't hesitate to ask questions so you can find out more about this great cause. There's also a new video posted on the Bike Rally website and on YouTube which has some more info on the Rally:

Becel Ride for Heart

Well, it's been a couple of weeks since the Ride for Heart, so it's about time I posted a comment about it. This year's ride seemed a bit busier than last year's, but it was equally as much fun. It's a great way to get out and support the Heart and Stroke foundation. There aren't many opportunities to cycle along the Gardiner or DVP without getting in trouble! Here are a few photos from the event:

Ride for heart

It's only hours away from this year's Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart, so I'm all excited before going to sleep. The chance to cycle along the Gardiner and DVP is fantastic, it's so fun to cycle where you'd normally only be able to drive. Doing so to support a great cause is super too. I'm hoping to have some fun photos of the event posted here and on facebook shortly after the event. For anyone who likes biking, but doesn't think they've got it in them to ride to Montreal, this is definitely an event to shoot for next year!
